Exhibits: Historical Collection of over 100 Locomotives, Steam Engines and Carriages in a sprawling 11 acre compound. Vintage displays such as the Fairy Queen, built in 1855, the Prince of Wales Saloon  built in 1875, Maharaja of Baroda’s Saloon of 1886. Vice regal Dining Car (1889) and  Maharaja of Mysore’s Saloon (1899).

Exhibits: Painted grey ware and other material largely based on the The excavations at Purana Qila  carried out by the Archaeological Survey of India in 1955 & 1969 to 1973.

 

Indian War Memorial Museum,

Red Fort, Located in Naubat Khana Building

Open: 10.00 am To 5:00 pm Closed : Friday

Exhibits: Armaments. A tribute to the soldiers who had participated in the world war in India or abroad on behalf of the British. Includes primitive weapons such as arrows, swords, khukris, revolvers and modern weapons such as  machine guns etc

 

Mumtaz Mahal Museum, Red Fort

Located in one of the palaces built by Shah Jahan for his queen Arjumand Banu Begum also famously known as Mumtaz Mahal.

Exhibits: Objects belonging to the Mughal period.
