Rashmi Vaidialingam
Rashmi Vaidialingam was initiated into dancing at an early age of six. Her initial training was in Bharatanatyam under the tutelage of late Vidwan Guru T R Devanathan of Kalakshetra. Since the last 10 years she has been performing Kuchipudi under the able guidance of her eminent Gurus Padmabhushan Raja and Radha Reddy. She has also participated in the All India Kuchipudi Dance Festivals, at Hyderabad in December 1996. Under the aegis of ICCR & Ministry of Culture she traveled in India & abroad giving performance in Japan, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Sri Lanka, etc. Rashmi is a founder member of “Bhoomika”, an institution of modern creative dance being run by Shri Narendera Sharma. Rashmi is a versatile stage actress having about 30 odd play and 20 well known serials to her credit. She has acted in a number of plays directed by well known theatre personalities like the late Dina Nath, Sai Paranjpaye, Sudhir Kulkarni, Lat B M Shah, Mr. Rajinder Nath. The natural extension of her theatre activity took her into the sphere of television serials. She has to her credit a number of well-known T.V. serials. She has won an award for Sahitya Kala Parishad for the play “Kissa Hakim Sahib ka”. She has also performed at a prestigious Rang Mahotsava 2000 Festival organized by National School of Drama.
